Success Stories - 2009
Open Data provides management consulting, outsourced analytic services, and analytic staffing so that companies and organizations can analyze data and build analytic models that increase revenues, decrease costs, reduce risk, and improve business operations.
Following are highlights of some of the new projects that we did in 2009. We also continued supporting clients in financial services, health care, and business to business services during 2009. - Cloud computing. During 2009, we helped a client deploy a large data cloud and understand some of the trade-offs between doing analytics over large data clouds vs over databases.
- Cloud computing benchmarks. During 2009, we worked with the Open Cloud Consortium to develop a benchmark called MalStone and data generator called MalGen for large data clouds.
- Health and status monitoring systems. Open Data Group developed and maintained a health and status monitoring system for a major payments card processor.
- Risk model. Open Data Group built an innovative risk model for a major payments card processor.
