Open Data Group is searching for a programmer/statistician to assist in development of high performance analytics and open source software applications.

You have:

• Experience in statistical modeling and working with large data, or an overwhelming desire to gain some, including:
  • Building and deploying statistical models in multiple environments
  • Knowledge of  statistical programming languages, especially R
  • Work with very large, distributed and heterogeneous data sets
  • Familiarity with Hadoop and map/reduce functions
  • Work with Python/Perl and other interpreted languages
  • Coding numerical and/or machine learning algorithms and complex applications

• Ability to deconstruct problems, devise analytic solutions and implement solutions to get results quickly.
• Ability to communicate challenging ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
• A degree or equivalent experience in statistics, computer science mathematics or related field.
• US citizenship (required)
